What is SoleMates?
SoleMates enables you to raise funds to support Girls on the Run, while receiving a customized training program with experienced coaches.
Athletes range from novices to seasoned racers who share a common goal–to celebrate health through fitness and to support the next generation of women. With your help, Girls on the Run can reach more girls in Iredell and Rowan Counties and prepare them for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living. As a SoleMates athlete, you’ll transform the way girls see themselves and their opportunities.
How do I get started?
Start by registering. You will be asked to pay an upfront processing fee, and this just ensures your commitment to raising funds for Girls on the Run. Next you will set-up your fundraising page.
By registering for SoleMates you will be automatically entered into our Girls on the Run 5k on Saturday, December 14, 2013. You will also receive a Girls on the Run t-shirt and water bottle as well as comprehensive 5k training plan.
What is my fundraising goal?
Each Solemate will fundraise for a minimum of $100. $100 sponsors one girl for one season of Girls on the Run. 100% of your fundraising efforts will be used for scholarships for the Spring 2013 season.
Should you reach your $100 goal and decide to continue you can change the lives of many girls in our community!
- Raise $250 and receive a Girls on the Run Solemates tech-tee
- Raise $500 and receive a Girls on the Run bag
- Raise $1000 and receive a Girls on the Run jacket or sweatshirt!
So choose your own goal and let your family know! Use our online fundraising tools through Active.com to help you achieve your goal!
