Girls on the Run is a life changing, non-profit prevention program for girls in the 3rd through the 8th grade.
Our mission: We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.
Girls on the Run combines training for a 5k (3.1 miles) running event with healthy living education. Our programs instill self-esteem through health education, life skills development, mentoring relationships, and physical training – all of which are accomplished through an active collaboration with girls and their parents, schools, volunteers, staff and the community.
The Girls on the Run 5k presented by Iredell Health System is fast approaching! Our 5k is open to the community and men, women and children can all join in the fun! We are also hosting a Kids Fun Run for the first time ever! Register today to run with us on Saturday, December 14th! For more details visit our 5k page!
