GOTR Registration $100

The Spring season will start the week of February12, 2012. The Girls on the Run 5k will be held on May 12, 2012 at Lowe’s Corporate Headquarters. The 5k fee is INCLUDED in your daughter’s program registration fee. The registration is per girl for the twice-per-week, twelve-week program. This $100 covers the full cost of one girl’s participation. Financial assistance is available. See below for more details.

5K Running Buddy $10

Since the Girls on the Run 5k is a public event, each GOTR participant must have a Running Buddy (parent, family member, friend) also participate in the 5k with them. The Running Buddy fee is $10 and is included in the $110 Fee. If you apply for Financial Assistance your Running Buddy fee will be waived.

Financial Assistance Available

Full and partial scholarships are available for qualifying families. You will be asked for a very brief description of your need during registration. Please keep your answers to one or two short sentences. You will then choose the amount you can pay based on a suggested sliding scale. A discount will be provided to your fees at checkout.

Health Insurance
Please have your insurance and physician information ready. You will be asked to fill out a health form questionnaire during the online registration.

Welcome to Girls on the Run serving Iredell and Rowan Counties

Girls on the Run is a life changing, non-profit prevention program for girls in the 3rd through the 8th grade.

Our mission: We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.

Girls on the Run combines training for a 5k (3.1 miles) running event with healthy living education. Our programs instill self-esteem through health education, life skills development, mentoring relationships, and physical training – all of which are accomplished through an active collaboration with girls and their parents, schools, volunteers, staff and the community.

Girls on the Run serving Iredell and Rowan Counties is an Independent Council of Girls on the Run International, which has a network of 160 locations across the United States and Canada.
