]]> http://gotriredell.org/2011/03/02/donate/feed/ 0 Community Service http://gotriredell.org/2010/11/18/community-service/ http://gotriredell.org/2010/11/18/community-service/#comments Thu, 18 Nov 2010 14:14:26 +0000 tanya http://gotriredell.org/?p=253 As part of the Girls on the Run curriculum, each team participates in a community service project.  They design their own service project and implement the service during their regular practice time.  Many groups plan to clean up around their schools, some will host a car wash for teachers, and others put together goody bags for their teachers and staff.  At Peninsula Baptist Church in Mooresville, girls in our Mooresville Homeschool Group put together healthy snacks for the staff at the church.  They were all so excited for the little gift.  These girls also plan to serve dinner and offer childcare at a women’s shelter in Troutman.
